Om museet

About the Museum

The Cathedral Museum’s exhibition tells Roskilde Cathedral’s 1000-year-long history from the first wooden church on site to the large UNESCO-protected medieval cathedral that meets visitors today.

In the exhibition you can see medieval wooden figures, a reconstruction of Queen Margrete 1.’s golden dress, fragments of stained glass from the cathedral’s windows, the first printed edition of Saxo Grammaticus’ Danish history, coffin plates and burial equipment from noble burials
